In Astana, a Memorandum of Cooperation was
signed between the KAZENERGY Association and the Kazakhstan Foreign Investors'
Council Association (KFICA).
The document was signed by the General Director
of KAZENERGY, Alibek Kuantyrov, and the foreign side Co-Chair of the Joint
Working Group on Energy, Ecology, and the Oil and Gas industry of the Foreign
Investors' Council under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Head of
Total Energies in Kazakhstan, Frode Ljones.
The signing of the document was first discussed
at the General Meeting of KAZENERGY members in January and became possible
thanks to the support of the Foreign Investors' Council members.
KAZENERGY successfully collaborates with oil
and gas companies that are part of the Foreign Investors' Council under the
President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. For example, active work is underway
on the development and implementation of an enhanced model contract mechanism
and the realization of the Strategy for achieving carbon neutrality by 2060.
The signing of the Memorandum marks a new stage
in the development of cooperation between KAZENERGY and KFICA, creating
opportunities for broader interaction among the members of the associations.
The document emphasizes the importance of strengthening partnership relations.
This will positively affect the sustainable development of Kazakhstan's energy
sector.
