The Annual General Meeting of the Kazakhstan Foreign Investors' Council Association was held today via videoconferencing

The Annual General Meeting 2022 was held today via videoconferencing with the participation of Executive Committee members and Observers of the Kazakhstan Foreign Investors' Council Association.

The results of the Association’s activities in 2021 were discussed at the meeting. KFICA Governing Board Chairman Mr. Erlan Dosymbekov marked key events of the year passed.

Along with that the preparation to the upcoming Working meeting and 33rd Plenary Session of the Foreign Investors' Council chaired by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan were discussed at the meeting.

In addition, foreign side Co-chairs of the Investment Policy; the Labour legislation, human capital development and engagement of foreign labor force; the Energy, ecology and oil & gas industry; and the Digitalization Working Groups of the Foreign Investors' Council presented their activity reports.

The Annual General Meeting ended with the elections of the KFICA’s Governing Board. New board included:

  1. Mr. Bela Ferenczi, President GE in Russia/CIS;
  2. Mr. Biju Nair, Vice-President of ArcelorMittal, CEO of ArcelorMittal Temirtau JSC;
  3. Mr. Erlan Dosymbekov, Managing Partner for Kazakhstan and Central Asia, EY;
  4. Mr. Juan Carlos Escobar, Managing Director, Kazakhstan, and Central Asia, PMI;
  5. Mr. Luciano Vasques, Head of Central Asia Region, Eni SpA;
  6. Ms. Saule Zhakayeva, Chairman of the Management Board, Citibank Kazakhstan JSC;
  7. Mr. Yeldar Tenizbayev, Chairman of the Board, SB Sberbank JSC.

The meeting was attended by KFICA member-companies - Arcelor Mittal, Asian Development Bank, Baker & McKenzie, Cameco, Chevron, Citi, CNPC, Deloitte, Deutsche Bank, EBRD, Eni, ERG, EY, EDB, ExxonMobil, General Electric, Glencore, Inpex, JP Morgan, KNAUF, LUKOIL, METRO Cash & Carry, Marubeni, Philip Morris, Polymetal, Polpharma, RUSAL, Sembol, Sberbank, Shell, Total, including 5 observers KPMG, PwC, TMK, Veon and World Bank.
