During the meeting, the issues of increasing investment attractiveness, improving the business climate and tax policy of the country were considered. In particular, proposals of KFICA members related to decriminalization of tax offenses were reviewed.

At the meeting, KFICA Board Chairman, Director, Head of Kazakhstan of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Agris Preimanis, KFICA Director Zhanna Baidasheva, FIC Investment Policy Working Group Co-Chair from foreign side, Managing Partner for Kazakhstan and Central Asia, EY, Erlan Dosymbekov, Executive Vice President, Сentral Asia region, Eni, Luca Vignati, Director of the representative office in Astana, China National Oil and Gas Corporation, Li Yonghong, Head of Tax and Legal Services Department of PwC Kazakhstan Michael Ahern, Director for External Relations and Government Relations of Shell Kazakhstan Zarina Bakenova took part.

At present, the members of the FIC Investment Policy Working Group from foreign side continue working with the Government to develop and implement further recommendations on improving legislation in this direction.
