Deutsche Bank, as the Germany’s leading bank with a strong position in Europe and a significant presence in the Asia Pacific, provides commercial and investment banking, retail banking, transaction banking and asset and wealth management products and services to corporations, governments, institutional investors, small and medium-sized businesses, and private individuals.
Deutsche Bank conducts its business in four client-centric divisions:
- The Corporate Bank is the hub for corporate and commercial clients.
- The Investment Bank focuses on its traditional strengths in financing, advisory, fixed income and currencies.
- The Private Bank focuses on private customers across all segments as well as smaller business clients.
- The asset manager DWS, in which Deutsche Bank retains a significant stake.
Deutsche Bank in the Republic of Kazakhstan
In developing its business in Kazakhstan, Deutsche Bank implements a long-term strategy, which aims at becoming the leading provider of corporate banking services in the country. Deutsche Bank plans to participate actively in the development of the local capital market and to help attract new foreign direct investments into several sectors of Kazakhstan’s economy. In total, Deutsche Bank has arranged its own debt finance for investment projects and borrowers in Kazakhstan in a total amount exceeding USD 50 billion.
Since 1998 Deutsche Bank is a member of the Foreign Investors Council, which advises the government in respect of the improvement of economic and investment conditions. Being an active member of the Foreign Investors’ Council of Kazakhstan Deutsche Bank has participated in the arranging of official visits of Kazakhstan President to Germany. Since 2019 the CEO of Northern and Eastern Europe Joerg Bongartz represents Deutsche Bank in the Foreign Investors Council.
