(Overview of activities)
INPEX North Caspian Sea, Ltd. (Herein after INCS) has been participating in the Kashagan oil field and other oil fields development together with project partners since September 1998 under the North Caspian Sea Production Sharing Agreement (NCSPSA). The project is operated by NCOC (North Caspian Operating Company), which is producing crude oil, natural gas and sulphur from Kashagan oil field. Through its participation to Kashagan project, INCS contributed in Petroleum Engineering, Pipeline Engineering, Rotating Machine Engineering, and IT Engineer by way of sending specialists to NCOC.

INCS is contributing to Social and Infrastructure Projects (SIPs) in the Republic. Under the NCSPSA, part of the development’s capital expenditure is allocated to build social infrastructure. This covers education, healthcare, sports and culture and other general interest infrastructure. Funds are equally split between Atyrau and Mangistau oblasts where the NCSPSA operations
INCS Kazakhstan Branch has two offices, both in Astana and Atyrau. Currently,10 national staff and 4 Japanese employees are working in the Branch.
