The online-meeting to discuss the mechanism of administrative fines calculation for flaring was held today under the chairmanship of Vice-Minister of Energy Mr. Murat Zhurebekov, and FIC Energy, Environment and Oil & Gas Working Group Сo-Chair from foreign side, Managing Director, Agip Caspian Sea BV,  Mr. Nicolo Aggogeri.

In his speech, Nicolo Aggogeri highlighted the importance of creating a focus working group to evaluate proposal for calculation of administrative fines and introduce new Eco Code, he thanked the Government, the Ministry of National Economy of the RoK, the Ministry of Economy of the RoK, the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the RoK, as well as the KFICA member-companies for assistance in developing proposals. The parties discussed the possibilities of introducing a new Eco Code and agreed on further cooperation to resolve this issue.

The e-meeting was attended by Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Regulation and Control of the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the RoK, Director of the Tax and Customs Policy Department of the Ministry of National Economy of the RoK and representatives of foreign side member companies of the working group – ENI, ExxonMobil, NCOC, Shell, Total.

As part of the consideration of this mechanism and detailed discussion, earlier, online-meetings were already held with the participation of the Ministry of Energy of the RoK, the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the RoK and the foreign side of the working group.
