The meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on monitoring and summarizing the practice of applying the Criminal Code and the Criminal Procedure Code was held today under the chairmanship of the Head of the Department for Coordination of Rule-Making Activities of the General Prosecutor's Office of the RoK, Mr. Almaz Mukhametzhanov and KFICA Board Chairman, FIC Investment Policy Working Group Co-Chair from foreign side, Managing Partner for Kazakhstan and Central Asia, EY, Mr. Erlan Dosymbekov.

The foreign side proposals on amendments to the Article 245 of the Criminal Code of the RoK regarding the decriminalization of tax offenses were presented at the meeting. Erlan Dosymbekov announced the amendments to the Criminal Code of the RoK on criminal liability for tax evasion from organizations. 

The meeting was also attended by the General Prosecutor’s Office of the RoK, Ministry of Justice of the RoK, Ministry of Finance of the RoK, Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RoK, Supreme Court of the RoK, National Security Committee of the RoK and representatives of the National Bureau for Combating Corruption.
