Foreigners now do not need permission from the Interdepartmental
Commission to enter / transit through the territory of Kazakhstan through
international airports if they are citizens of countries with a visa-free
regime. In addition, the exceptions are citizens of those countries with which
Kazakhstan has resumed direct flights (regular, non-scheduled charter flights)
in compliance with visa requirements.
From January 1, 2022, Kazakhstan resumed a visa-free regime with 54 countries.
The only requirement for all arrivals to Kazakhstan is to provide a certificate with a negative PCR test result for COVID-19 (valid for 72 hours), regardless of the presence of a vaccination passport.

Earlier, the official website of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan www.primeminister.kz reported that a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on prevention of the spread of coronavirus infection in the Republic of Kazakhstan under the chairmanship of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yeraly Tugzhanov was held on February 7, 2022. Simplifications in the procedures for crossing the state border of the Republic of Kazakhstan by Kazakhstani and foreign citizens during the quarantine period were discussed at a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission.
