The Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan presented online the Strategy for achieving carbon neutrality of the Republic of Kazakhstan until 2060 for representatives of KFICA member-companies and members of FIC Working Groups from the foreign side.

The presentation was held jointly with the Economic Research Institute which is leading institution that studies the issues of the integrated development of the economy of Kazakhstan. In total, more than a hundred participants took part in the online presentation, including such companies as Cameco, JPMorgan Chase Bank, ArcelorMittal, EBRD, ExxonMobil, TotalEnergies EP Kazakhstan, ADB, ENI, CNPC, Inpex, General Electric, Tengiz Chevron, NCOC, EY and many others.

As part of the presentation, the structure of the strategy, goals and planned measures were presented, including the transformation of the entire energy sector, decarbonization of industrial processes, agriculture, and other sectors. The presentation also paid attention to the issues of changing social consciousness through awareness, education and participation of citizens in decision-making.
