The Annual General Meeting 2023 of Executive Committee members and Observers of the Kazakhstan Foreign Investors' Council Association with the participation of representatives of the Government was held today in Astana.

During the meeting, issues of preparation for the upcoming Interim Session chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as preparation for the 35th Plenary Session of the Foreign Investors’ Council chaired by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan were discussed.

In addition, during the meeting, reports on the activities of the FIC Working Groups were announced. Reports were made by KFICA Governing Board Chairman Erlan Dosymbekov, Managing Director & Resident Manager of Agip Karachaganak BV Renato Maroli, Representative of KNAUF in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Director of Marketing and Sales Department in the Republics of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan Dimitri Propp, Managing Partner and CEO, KPMG Caucasus and Central Asia Saken Zhumashev.

The discussion was attended by the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Bolat Akchulakov, the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Tamara Duysenova, the First Vice Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Akmadi Sarbasov, the First Deputy Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Timur Zhaksylykov, the Vice Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Talgat Momyshev, the Vice Minister of Industry and Infrastructural Development - Iran Sharkhan, the Vice-Minister of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Askar Zhambakin, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Almas Aidarov, the Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Ardak Zebeshev.

The Annual General Meeting ended with the election of the members of KFICA Governing Board. The new KFICA Management Board members included: Mr. Renato Maroli, Managing Director & Resident Manager of Agip Karachaganak BV and Mr. Vasiliy Smirnov, Director of the Representative Office in Kazakhstan, UC RUSAL.
