Interim session of the Foreign Investors’ Council chaired by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held under the chairmanship of Roman Sklyar, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The session focused on the preparatory measures for the 36th Plenary Session of the Foreign Investors’ Council. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alibek Kuantyrov and Acting Managing Director, Central Asia in the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Huseyin Ozhan reported on the progress of preparations for the upcoming session, scheduled for October 31, 2024. It was emphasized that the Ministry of National Economy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the Kazakhstan Foreign Investors’ Council Association, will ensure thorough consideration of all substantive and organizational aspects of the event.
The session also featured reports from the co-chairs of the joint standing working groups of the Council, including proposals and issues raised by foreign investors during discussions. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was tasked with addressing all proposals in accordance with established procedures.
First Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar emphasized the importance of active preparation for all aspects of the Plenary Session and expressed confidence in the successful implementation of the planned objectives.
The Foreign Investors’ Council chaired by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan is an advisory body tasked with developing proposals to improve the investment climate and enhance the regulatory framework in the interest of advancing Kazakhstan's investment policy. The Council includes leaders of major multinational companies and international organizations.
