On 29 January, Astana hosted the Annual General Meeting of the Members of the Kazakhstan Foreign Investors’ Council Association.
The Meeting focused on key
issues related to the Association’s activities, including preparations for the FIC
Interim Session, chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic of
Kazakhstan, as well as preparations for the 38th Plenary Session of the
Foreign Investors’ Council, to be chaired by the President of the Republic
of Kazakhstan. Participants also discussed engagement with government
authorities, KFICA financial matters, and announced the results of elections
for vacant positions within the KFICA Governing Board composition and for the
position of a Foreign Co-Chair of one of the FIC Working Groups.
The Meeting brought together
representatives of KFICA member companies and observers, including Anadolu,
Asian Development Bank, Baker McKenzie, Cameco, Chevron, CNPC, Deutsche Bank
AG, EBRD, Eurasian Development Bank, EY, Glencore, Inpex, JP Morgan, Marubeni
Corporation, Mitsubishi Corporation, Philip Morris, Polpharma, RUSAL, Sembol,
VEON, Wabtec, KPMG, Air Liquide, TAV Airports, among others.
