On 5 March 2026, an
online working call was held between Ms. Zhanna Baidasheva, Director of the
Kazakhstan Foreign Investors’ Council Association (KFICA), and Ms. Elena
Akoltseva, Vice President of Baker
Hughes for Europe & CIS.
During the call, the
parties discussed the current priorities of the Foreign Investors’ Council
(FIC) and KFICA, including preparations for the Strategic Thematic Session with
the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the strategic development of
KFICA and FIC, as well as the upcoming 38th Plenary Session of the FIC chaired
by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The discussion also
addressed the development of international cooperation, including the
preparation of cooperation agreements between KFICA and the Association of
Investors of Kazakhstan, as well as between the Foreign Investors’ Councils of
Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
The parties further
discussed the preparation of a roundtable within the FIC Digitalization Working
Group focused on the development of artificial intelligence (AI). The event
aims to discuss prospects for AI adoption across various sectors and identify
key barriers to its wider implementation.
Ms. Elena Akoltseva
noted that Baker Hughes
is ready to support the roundtable and consider bringing international speakers
to participate in the event.
